01Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the Talking Friday team ("we", "us") and govern your use of the Talking Friday app (the "App") for iPhone. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

02Who can use the App

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

03The App is free

The App is currently free to download and use, with no purchases inside it. If that ever changes, we will update these Terms before introducing any paid features, and any purchases would be handled through Apple's App Store under Apple's terms.

04Your license to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and Apple's App Store terms (including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement).

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the App or any part of it
• Extract, copy, or redistribute the AI models bundled inside the App
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where the law expressly permits it
• Use the App for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass, or deceive others
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

05Friday is an AI — not a professional

Friday is an artificial-intelligence voice assistant. Her responses are generated by an on-device AI model and can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong, even when they sound confident.

Friday is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer, financial advisor, or emergency service, and nothing she says is professional advice. Do not rely on the App for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions — always consult a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

You are responsible for how you use Friday's responses.

06Your conversations are yours

Everything you say to Friday — and everything she says back — is processed and stored only on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. We have no access to your conversations, claim no ownership over them, and have no ability to restore them: if you delete the App or lose your device, your conversation data is gone with it. Keeping device backups is up to you.

07Intellectual property

The App — including its design, code, branding, and the AI models it ships with — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you the right to use the App, not ownership of it. "Talking Friday" and the Friday name and logo are our trademarks.

08Apple's role

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

09Updates and changes to the App

We may update, change, or discontinue the App (or any feature of it) at any time. Because Friday runs entirely on your device, installed versions keep working as they are — but we may stop offering updates or remove the App from the App Store. We are not obliged to provide any particular feature or update.

10Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its responses will be accurate or reliable. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable law that cannot be excluded.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, or from reliance on anything Friday says. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it (the App is free, so this is zero) or the smallest amount permitted by applicable law.

12Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it — that also deletes all of its data from your device. We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive termination.

13Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you use the App outside India, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws, and you may have additional consumer rights under them that these Terms do not limit.

15General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
