01Who we are

This privacy policy applies to the Talking Friday app (the "App") for iPhone, built by the Talking Friday team ("we", "us"). Friday is an on-device speech-to-speech voice AI: you talk, she answers out loud, and the entire loop runs locally on your iPhone's Neural Engine.

02Information we collect

None. The App does not collect any information when you download and use it. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your voice, audio recordings, or transcripts of your conversations
• Personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number
• Your location, contacts, photos, or any other data on your device
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or analytics events
• Usage data or telemetry of any kind

No registration or account is required to use the App — there is nothing to sign up for, so there is no profile of you anywhere.

03How Friday processes your voice

When you talk to Friday, the App uses your iPhone's microphone to capture your voice and processes it in real time, entirely on your device. The AI models that power Friday ship inside the App itself — nothing is downloaded after installation, and your speech is never sent to a server, to us, or to anyone else.

To make responses more relevant, Friday may read settings already on your device — such as your language, region, or time zone — and use them as local context for the on-device AI. Like everything else, this information is processed only on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Anything Friday produces or remembers — responses, settings, and any conversation history — is stored only on your device, under your control. Deleting the App deletes all of it.

04Network connections

Friday works fully offline — you can turn on Airplane Mode and keep talking. The App makes no network connections for any of its AI features. The only network activity the App may perform is a simple check against our server to see whether a newer version of the App is available. This request contains no personal data, no account information, and no device identifiers, and we do not use it to track you. Like any internet request it technically includes an IP address, which we do not store or link to you.

05Third parties

Because the App does not collect your data, there is no data to share — we share nothing with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. The App contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as download counts) and, only if you have opted in at the iOS level, anonymized crash reports. These are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and we receive nothing that identifies you.

06Data security

Your conversations never leave your iPhone, so they are protected by your device's own security — your passcode, Face ID, and Apple's hardware encryption. There are no Talking Friday servers holding your data, which means there is no server for anyone to breach.

07Your choices & control

• Microphone — you can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings; Friday simply won't be able to hear you.
• Your data — everything lives on your device. Deleting the App permanently removes all of its data.
• Nothing to request — because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or erase on your behalf. You are already in full control.

08Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The App requires no account and transmits no personal information, so children's data is never gathered. If you are a parent or guardian, we still encourage you to supervise your child's use of any app.

09Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. Our commitment that your conversations stay on your device will not change. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
